Creating a Salvage Assignment

The workfile Salvage tab provides the ability to enter salvage vehicle location and salvage assignment information that is used to create a Salvage Assignment.

To create a salvage assignment

1. Open or create the workfile.
2. Select the Salvage tab.
3. In the Salvage Vehicle Location section, enter the required information in the appropriate fields.
4. In the Salvage Assignment Information section, click on the Towing button to populate the Towing $ field. This amount comes from the Towing Worksheet. Access this by selecting the Estimate tab > Other Charges tab. Click on the Towing Worksheet link.
5. Click on the New Salvage Assignment button.
